2020 Cadillac CT6 V-Sport Fuel Economy
Cadillac gives top Model CT6 a facelift and immediately presents the superlative of the model, the V-Sport. Cadillac today unveiled the 2020 Cadillac CT6 V-Sport, the first-ever V-Performance model of its top-of-range sedan.
The introduction of the high-performance variant coincides with a makeover of the entire CT6 lineup that incorporates the newest iteration of Cadillac’s design language featured on the Escala Concept. The Cadillac V-Sport portfolio currently includes the CTS V-Sport and the XTS V-Sport
The rear full-size-sedan CT6 was presented in 2015 and has only been on the Dutch price list since 2017 (really!) but now the Americans are finding it time for an update. To start with the V-Sport: The CT6 is not under the standard with 417 HP, but the sporty topper still has a big scoop on top. Instead of a V6 the top model gets a completely new Double blown4.2-liter V8, which delivers 557 hp and 850 Nm. This power is distributed over all four wheels via a ten speed automatic, while huge Brembo brakes provide sufficient stopping power.

Each engine will be hand-built at the Performance Build Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
NEW 10-SPEED TRANSMISSION
The new Cadillac Twin-Turbo V-8 is matched with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Its wide, 7.39 overall gear ratio spread enhances off-the-line performance and contributes to reduced engine speed on the highway, which enhances refinement and efficiency. Smaller steps between the gears also help the engine maintain the optimal speed for maximum power at almost all vehicle speeds.
2020 Cadillac CT6 V-Sport Redesign & Changes
The CT6 V-Sport can be recognized on the outside by a mesh grille, sporty light metal, and many black accents. However, the most notable changes to the CT6 also apply to the less powerful models. There are striking, L-shaped light units that replace the strongly vertically oriented specimens of yesteryear. At the same time, Cadillac introduces new technology in the form of a new infotainment device that, according to the brand, is operating as intuitive as a smartphone. Also notable is the introduction of Super Cruise, a system similar to Volvo’s Pilot Assist and the CT6 driver to enable hands-free traffic. This system is not available on the V-Sport. Night Vision and a lot of other safety systems make the tech party complete.
