2020 SKODA KODIAQ RS; RELEASE DATE, SPECS & FEATURES
Skoda launches a sporty top version of the Kodiaq at the Paris Motor Show: the 2020 Skoda Kodiaq RS. The Czechs have hurled their marketing machine and present a new set of teasers.
Skoda said earlier that it is coming up with a true RS version of the Kodiaq. In fact, the Czechs have already driven the car over the Nürburgring and claim to have set a time of 9: 29.84. This has earned the car the title of ‘fastest 7 Seater SUV on the earth’. Incidentally, the Kodiaq is basically a five-seater.
2020 Skoda Kodiaq RS Engine specs
The 2020 Skoda Kodiaq RS gets a 2.0-liter biturbo TDI, a block that mobilizes 239 hp and 500 Nm. We already know the double blown four cylinders of cars like the Passat and Arteon. The Tiguan with that block is good for a top speed of 228 km / h while a sprint from standstill to a speed of 100 km/h takes 6.7 seconds.
The four-wheel drive diesel engine will have its world debut in October during the Paris auto show. Incidentally, the car gets the new RS logo from Skoda, a logo that is now in red.
It is not the first time that Skoda provides an RS version of a diesel engine. For example, the current generation Octavia for the facelift was not only available as a 230 hp petrol RS but also with a 184 hp 2.0 TDI in RS suit. After the point session, it disappeared from the Dutch order list. Currently, Skoda is carrying the Octavia RS only with 245 hp 2.0 TSI in the front. From the first generation Fabia, Skoda also delivered an RS with self-igniter: a 130 hp 1.9 TDI.
